Did you know that Turkeys can fly? I had no idea it was possible until one flew into our windshield on the freeway. We were about 2 minutes from the Folsom Outlets in Sacramento when a huge turkey came swooping down into our lane. This guy had a 5 foot wing span!!
At this point our driver slammed on the brakes which caused us to spin completely across the freeway, luckily only hitting one other car as we stopped to face them head on. It was one of the scariest moments of my life! When the cop arrived he couldn't help but laugh and affirm that it was the first time in his 16 years he had ever seen such a thing.
p.s besides having a sore neck the next day NO-ONE was hurt.

That is SO FUNNY! It sucks that you crashed on the freeway, but that is the funniest reason for crashing that I've ever heard. And now you can tell your little baby on the way what trauma he/she lived through while in the womb. YEAH!!! I'm excited for you.
So glad you are ok. I have never heard of getting hit by a wild turkey. I know people get hit by people drinking Wild Turkey. But those people go to jail. Looks like it wiped out your car. Hope you are doing ok. Be sure to protect little Jas.
