Northern Argentina... a return to the mission

Jason was in the Resistencia MissionThis family is in Reconquista. (Marta in Red) was Jason's "mission mom." Her family was so fun. They made us Jason's fav dinner called Guiso which is potatoes with noodles, chicken and red sauce. yum! The bins are a part of Marta's boyfriends business. He makes shoes and sells them from his house. They gave Jason and I a pair as presents. One of Marta's daughters asked Jason how he fell in love with me because I am so quiet. I started laughing, uh hello language barrier??? It was pretty funny.
Yes I know I look the Jolly Green Giant! I felt so big and white there.... anyway Jason baptized the boy in green and the lady who you can't really behind his left shoulder. They made us an awesome BBQ dinner at the usual Argentine time 11:00 pm. I don't know how they do it. The guy with the goatee is Walter. Walter became really good friends with Jason and he hung out with us a lot. This is in Formosa. This is Sunday between Conference. Everyone fills the Stake center and then stays for both sessions. Everyone brings a lunch and eats and then sits in groups drinking Mate. Mate is an herb that they mix with hot water and sugar or with cold punch. It was really weird to me to see people passing mate around a circle of people between conference. It is a meaning of trust and friendship to them. oh I got to watch in English with the North American missionaries that were there.Jason baptized husband, wife and daughter in striped shirt. The woman is now Primary President... go Rosa!! Rosa almost fainted when she saw us. She was extremely happy and told me how important the church was in her life. It was a really neat experience to meet this family.
This is Roxanne (in yellow) and her sister in Corrientes. Roxanne was baptized just before Jason got to the area. They were so fun to talk to. Roxanne said "que linda." all the time which I loved. I guess in English it's like saying, aw.. that's so cute.
This is a member family Jason knew. We told everyone to make a funny face but it was just us. Jason taught Raul who is right next to him how to skate board. Raul had a small piece left of a skateboard Jason had given to him. It looked pretty thrashed.

I felt so lucky to have this opportunity to go to Jason's mission and see the people that he taught. He has home for 5 years but still had so many people that loved him and remembered him.
